Not included in our budgets are our grocery bills. We typically cook all our meals at home and pack picnics, which we would do whether we were home or across the globe. We do include, however, any expense accrued simply by being abroad (including dining out and gas used which we also pay for whether we are home or not). Sometimes being abroad is cheaper than being home!
